The Malazan Book of The Fallen #1

I am not sure about how to rate this book. I enjoyed reading it, it was really something different from the stuff I usually read! But I struggled with it, the writing style was quite heavy and the plot was not easy to follow. There were a thousand different characters with names that sounded all the same to me. I sometimes did not understand what was going on and it could be quite annoying.

Apart from that, I really enjoyed discovering this new world !

I gave it 3/5 stars because of all the problems I had reading it, but it was not really the right time to pick this up and maybe I would enjoy it more if I re-read it, now that I'm familiar with the writing style of the author.
